A workshop on ‘Microbial Identification, Preservation & Genome Analysis’ to be held on March 01 – 10, 2017 at the Microbial Culture Collection, National Centre for Cell Science, Sai Trinity Complex, Pashan- Sus Road, Pashan, Pune 411 021.
The content of workshop includes lectures and hands on training on sample collection, isolation and identification of microbes, and long-term preservation of microorganisms. The course also include rRNA gene sequencing and phylogeny, proteotyping using MALDI-TOF MS, whole-cell fatty acid analysis using GC, and genome analysis. The course of workshop is specifically designed, targeting Ph. D. students and early career faculty members from University, Colleges, Research Institutes and Industries. A registration fee is INR 12,000 (Rupees twelve thousand only) for academia and INR 20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand) for industry associated participants, which is inclusive of accommodation, lunch and tea.
